photo-51-e1350162402777-225x344001Nikki chose to decorate the outside of our house with a circus theme, using the backdrop from his Carnival of Sins tour our house was transformed into a giant circus tent.

It looks super cool but I wanted to add some elegance to go along with the clowns.

I thought it would be cool to make a wreath for out front door out of black feathers.

It turned out great and it was super quick, inexpensive and easy to do!

Here’s what you will need:

A Styrofoam Wreath $5

Black Spray Paint $5

2 to 3  Black Feather Boa’s $4 each depending on how big you want your wreath, I used 3.

2 inch Black Ribbon

A Hot Glue Gun or Sewing Pins

A small nail to hang on your door.

pho7to-21Start by painting the wreath black. Let dry for at least an hour.

You can use a hot glue gun or you can use sewing pins to secure the boa.

Both work, the pins are easier and quicker but it’s up to you.

Repeat with additional boa’s until you get it the fullness that you want.

jjjjjphoto2Tie a bow with your ribbon and pin or glue into place at the bottom of your wreath. Last but not least tie fold the extra ribbon you have left in half and tie it in a knot around the top of the wreath hiding it in between the feathers.

Leave an inch of ribbon then tie another knot and cut off the excess. Use this to hang it on a small nail on your door.

These also look amazing on a large mirror, you could use velcro double sided stick tape for that.
