When entertaining using linen napkins is very necessary. They are not expensive and instantly add class and elegance to any occasion.
I love collecting napkins but I usually stick to my main 3 sets, light pink, floral and cream.
If you are serving a meal with more than 8 people you can mix two of the colors up.
When picking your colors it’s nice if they compliment each other so you have the option of mixing and matching.
If you find a fabric that you love, I recently made napkins out of extra velvet I had lying around.
All you have to do is sew a square, if you are fairly decent on a sewing machine just measure out a sew a square about 13-14in x 13-14in making sure to make an even square.
If you have neat napkin rings that’s great, I love using napkin rings I buy and that I make. Personally I like using thick 2 inch wired ribbon and simply tie it into a bow.
If you want to spruce it up even more you can stick a flower in it, I think roses look amazing but whatever flower you like will do the trick.
If you have a flower arrangement obviously you want to coordinate with the same flowers or same shade of flowers. This gives you an instant touch of elegance.
