There are a few great easy tips to getting beautiful results even if you have no experience.

downlo44adedfileFloral Tape. You can find this at craft stores and every flower shop.

Make a grid with the tape over the top of your vase, pot or basket.

This is a great tool to help you distribute everything evenly.

photo-144-21If you stick to the same shade of flowers your arrangment will look amazing. Things can get tricky when you are mixing lots of different colored flowers together. If you stick to the same shade, lets say pink for example, you can use every type of pink flower  in every shade you want and rest assured that it wont look mismatched or too busy.

You can still have green fillers too, not everything has to be the same shade, just the flowers.

Start with your fillers. Think of building an arrangement like building a house., you have to start with a foundation first. I always start with fillers unless I’m working with roses in floral foam and using berries as a filler. For some reason when using berries it’s easier for me to do it backwards.

If you are working with Lillies for example it’s impossible to add fillers last due to the sheer size of them, so do yourself a favor and make it a habit of placing your fillers first, this will save you a lot of headache. Make sure to distribute them around evenly. Keep adding your fillers until you have only enough space left for your main flowers, in this case it’s lillie’s.

Now when you add in the flowers it’s easy to know where to put them, and since the flowers are the stars you don’t want them bunched up together.
