hangerscbsOn the second day of How2Girl Holiday Gift Week on CBS LA, we made the perfect gift for every fashionista on your list: a set of blinged out hangers! This DIY is super easy and not expensive at all. Click here to watch the entire segment. Start with a pair of wooden hangers and spray paint them (we like white or gold) to create a background for the design; be sure to use painter’s tape to cover the metal hook to protect from paint. Once dry, using a hot-glue gun, start at the top center of hanger by the metal hook and apply crystals using varying sizes as you go. You can either stick to a pattern or place them where you think the pieces look and fit best. Continue gluing and sticking until one side of the hanger is completely encrusted. You can also use special pieces like a broche or a cluster of earrings or crystals at the center of the hanger and leave the rest unadorned. Set aside and repeat on next hanger. Use a decorative ribbon to tie together at the base of the metal hook for the perfect presentation.
