photo55-1-41I bought these regular pots at Home Depot because I refuse to splurge on the beautiful glazed pots that can run anywhere from $80-$200 per pot, that’s just crazy to me!

I did one simple step to turn these ordinary pots into beautifully distressed glazed pots and you won’t believe how easy and simple it was to do!

The magic word….? Wood stain! Seriously it’s that easy!

photo-2-6-e13708169435041Using a brush and a cloth I stained my pots with a dark brown wood stain!

I did a few layers, lighter in some areas and darker in others letting the stain naturally drip and do it’s thing.

Let it dry overnight and that was it!

I couldn’t believe how easy it was and they turned out gorgeous!

Hopefully this quick tip can help you with extra old pots you have laying around.

Also, you can use lots of different colors of wood stains, I have a feeling red or blue would look amazing!
