bouquetrev3x1I love using flowers not only for entertaining but also just to have around the house to for fun!

While floral arrangements are gorgeous, constantly having to buy professional floral arrangements can add up quickly!

NO offense to any of you florists out there but come on guys sometimes you are crazy expensive.

Here are a few helpful tips and ideas on how to get fabulous professional looking arrangements on a budget!  I don’t know about you but… flowers from even the grocery store are expensive, last time I went in there it was $20 for a dozen roses. That is insanity!

So to avoid the unnecessary cost here’s what I do, try hitting up your local wholesale flower market. Most cities have one, this is where the florists in your area go to buy their flowers, so why shouldn’t you?

Now that you’re paying less than half of what you would in the store you are ready to roll your sleeves up and get creative and… don’t worry if you don’t have a local flower mart because there are tons of online wholesale flower websites you can order from and still save %50 off. http://www.bunchesdirect.com

If you are unsure of what flowers go together, a great trick I’ve learned when arranging flowers is if you stick to the same shade no matter what flowers you are using it is a safe bet your arrangement will turn out fabulous!

Don’t forget to try floral foam when putting arrangements together! It is super inexpensive and can be purchased from Michaels Arts & Crafts for a couple dollars for a bag.

A fun and easy one is to hot glue layers of your favorite fabric or ribbon around a square or circle vase or a canister.

There are lots of things you have lying around the house that can be used as vases if you cover them, even coffee tins!

I like this tip because you can tie in your flower arrangements into your table cloth, your place setting or any other décor you have going on.

I like using pastels like light blues and light yellows or greens for this.

You can also add fun trims to the tops and bottoms of these or embellish them with ribbon, lace or stick on beads or applicays.

Last but not least, I went out to my garden and picked some pretty roses.

The possibilities are endless!

Now you can get creative and have fun making your next floral arrangement without breaking the bank!
